Opening and Service Times

St. Leonard’s Church is open to visitors on Sunday afternoons this summer, 2.30 – 5pm from Sunday June 5th.

Friends of St Leonard’s are on hand to serve tea and cake, talk to visitors about the building, answer queries and explain points of interest. We have a guide book for visitors who prefer to just sit and wonder, or wander on their own. And we have a Treasure Hunt and colouring for the young of all ages.

During the warmer summer months we hold occasional services at St. Leonard’s. Our summer programme of worship includes our annual Pet Service, Harvest ‘Songs of Praise’, a Hymns & Pimms Service and weekly sessions for quiet prayer and guided meditation. We also have a programme of music concerts – we will list the dates here once they are confirmed.

Later in the year we celebrate Christmas with a hearty Christmas Wassail led by folk musicians with plenty of audience participation. Make sure you wrap up warmly!

The congregation from Hertford Roman Catholic Church regularly hold a service at St Leonard’s. We are delighted to share this ancient site of worship with fellow Christians across the town.

You can also be married in St Leonard’s if your wedding party is small – we can seat around 80 people.
